Wigan Athletic are ready to launch a double raid on Trabzonspor, according to sources in Turkey.
Ambitious Wigan boss Paul Jewell has guided his side to seventh in the Premiership table but is not prepared to rest on his laurels.
Backed by chairman Dave Whelan, Jewell is prepared to enter the transfer market when the window reopens in the New Year and it is rumoured the pair will travel to Turkey after Saturday's clash at Chelsea.
Fatih Tekke and Hyseyin Cimsir are the players believed to be on Wigan's hit-list even though the duo could cost around £8 million.
Trabzon turned down a bid from Wigan for Tekke in the summer but a disappointing campaign could lead them to revisit the situation.
Vahid Halilhodzic has replaced Senol Gunes as the club's manager and the Bosnian could use any fee to finance his own team strengthening plans.
Tekke, 28, has seven goals from 12 league appearances this term after bagging 31 in 34 games last season. He has also taken his goalscoring form onto the international stage with Turkey.
Cimsir (pictured) is a 26-year-old holding midfielder, who has also made his mark with the international team, although they were knocked out of the World Cup at the play-off stage by Switzerland.
Although any deal would appear to be some way off, Turkish reports claim Trabzon officials are ready to give the green light to the moves if Wigan are prepared to meet their asking price.
