Turkey striker Fatih Tekke has left Trabzonspor to sign a four-year contract with FC Zenit St. Petersburg in Russia in a deal worth a reported €10m.
Prolific striker
The 28-year-old will become Zenit coach Dick Advocaat's third signing this summer, following Korean internationals Lee Ho and Kim Dong Jin. Fatih had spent the past four seasons at Trabzonspor, the club where he began his career before spells at Altay GK and Gaziantepspor. Fatih Tekke struck 21 times in 28 games as Trabzonspor captain last term, and has hit at least ten goals in each of the last six campaigns. He made his international debut in January 1998, and has won 21 caps, scoring eight goals.
